The broader view – and official public policy – is that licensing schemes protect consumers and project owners. If all goes according to plan, The Jeddah Tower will open in 2020 and become the world’s tallest building. Check out this video of a tour group starting at the 56th floor and being lowered to the ground from a materials hoist by a crane. It’s an amazing view and the building is only one-quarter complete.
